A super limited edition jam made with fresh Merryweather Damsons, grown less than 30miles from our jam factory by Clive at Bentleys Castle Fruit Farm.
We hand prepped the damsons and cooked quickly with as little sugar as possible to create a rich, fruity and tangy jam. With a touch of fresh lemon juice added the flavour is balanced nicely towards the tarter end so it's not too sweet. This preserve has a thick spoonable texture, and will firm up slightly once it has been kept in the fridge.
This jar contains 225g.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans
Beware: because every damson has been hand prepped there is a slight chance a stray stone may have been left behind in the jam.
British Merryweather Damsons, Sugar, Lemon Juice, Natural Pectin. Prepared with 66g fruit per 100g, total sugars 48g per 100g.
Our jams are made with a two year shelf life. Once opened keep refrigerated and enjoy within 4 weeks.
Enjoy dolloped on natural yoghurt or with porridge as a winter-warmer treat.

Nicola founded Single Variety Co from her kitchen table with the aim of creating a range of seriously delicious fruit preserves and chilli jams. She carefully selected the finest ingredients, British where possible, and packed each jar full of as much fruit as possible with much less sugar than traditional jams. These aims remain the same today in our little jam factory in Bristol - as if Nicola had made them from home!
