We use British Invicta Gooseberries for this delicious preserve, and cook them in small batches with the addition of fresh lemon juice to give the perfect combo of sweetness and tartness.
It's a looser set which will firm up after a few weeks (this preserve is super fresh- we only made it this week!), or pop it in the fridge before you open it if you want it a little bit thicker.
Each jar contains 225g.
British gooseberries, Sugar, Lemon Juice. Prepared with 60g fruit per 100g, total sugars 50g per 100g
You will receive with a shelf life of at least 1 year. Once open keep refrigerated and enjoy within 4 weeks.
Go fancy if you like and create a gooseberry panna cotta, a crumble, or a cheesecake – just promise you’ll send us a pic and the recipe! Or simply dollop it on natural yoghurt or smother it on toast. We're sure you'll enjoy it whatever you decide.
