Seville Orange Marmalade

Very pleased

I think I'd noticed this company via instagram ads and their content seemed compelling. I make my own marmalade but had missed a year and so was looking for a replacement for the M&S Seville I'd been buying. The products from Single Variety are about twice the price but I had high hopes of a close to home made taste. Personally I like a sharp Seville taste and a semi set texture and I accept that any review is subjective but for me this marmalade was incredibly bland in taste and over set to the extent that you could cut it in cubes. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I paid a lot for the little jars and I would choose the M&S over this every day. My lesson has to be don't skip a year if you make your own marmalade!

If you are a marmalade enthusiast, this is an absolute must-try. They weren't kidding when they said they use the very best oranges — the flavour is incredibly fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced.

The traditional firm set is exactly what a classic marmalade should be, spreading beautifully without being runny. The thin shred gives a wonderful textural bite without being overwhelming.

The fresh bittersweet flavour is addictive; it hits all the right notes and genuinely leaves you craving the next slice of toast. This has earned a permanent spot on my breakfast table!
