Meet the blood orange that's unlike any other. Our Etna Fire Marmalade is made from a single, exceptional variety of blood orange grown in the volcanic soils of Sicily, in the shadow of Mount Etna, by Carmelo Laudani and his family.
Carmelo's grandfather, also called Carmelo, began farming this land over 90 years ago. That same passion and commitment to the land has been handed down through three generations, and it shows. The Laudani family grow without pesticides, power their farm with solar energy, harvest only to order, and never use cold storage, so every orange travels direct from grove to us with its natural flavour fully intact.
The Etna Fire variety is special for a reason. The dramatic temperature swings on the slopes of Mount Etna, dropping as low as -4°C and rising to 25°C in a single winter day, are what gives these oranges their remarkable deep red colour, inside and out. The same variety planted anywhere else simply doesn't produce the same result. It took Carmelo years of dedication to perfect it, and you can taste that in every jar.
We've taken these beautiful oranges and sliced them to a medium shred. Cooked slowly the resulting marmalade is sweet, bright and full of fruity orange flavour, with just a gentle tang. No bitterness. If you've always thought marmalade wasn't for you, this is the one that changes your mind. You could say it's more like an orange jam.
A limited edition release, we have very limited numbers of this marmalade and expect it will sell out very quickly.

Blood oranges are sweet, very slightly tart making this an epic marmalade. The flavour is nothing like a traditional marmalade and the rind melts in your mouth. Gutted I only ordered 2
Tangy limited edition blood orange marmalade. Excellent quality and well packaged as usual.
This is amazing, on par with the Lemon in my opinion! Get stocked up guys, I’ve just ordered another 6, sorry to be greedy but this is good stock for our cupboard to keep us going until the next amazing flavour comes ! Good work guys, keep it up!
Love this marmalade. Lot's of chunky bits of fruit. Not runny like last time I had it. Just ordered 6 more jars!
Well tasty 😋 i love Orenges and this is full of flavour but not overly sweet which is great, i really enjoyed the Amalfi lemon which i why i thought id give the blood orenge ago which was a good move so what next i wonder lol
Gorgeous jam
This is not a marmalade. As others have said far too runny, pouring consistency. It should have been clearer on the website that this is a liquid. Not soft set.. After giving feedback, I was advised that I could use it as a marinade! Deeply disappointed.
Had Orange Marmalade for the first time Christmas 2024. Absolutely loved it. Really tasty not too sugary loved the strong blood orange taste. Best I have ever tasted.
Will be going on my shopping list! 👍
This is my favourite one - and I LOVE the runny consistency, which lends itself so well to being used on top of desserts, porridges, sauces... It's absolutely fantastic for making orange chicken, and hits the PERFECT balance in terms of flavour.
I am absolutely heartbroken it'll be gone :(
Found it to be a very strange marmalade. Plenty of peel but far too runny - difficult to catch let alone eat it. I know described as "soft set" but "barely set" would be a better description.
Nicola founded Single Variety Co from her kitchen table with the aim of creating a range of seriously delicious fruit preserves and chilli jams. She carefully selected the finest ingredients, British where possible, and packed each jar full of as much fruit as possible with much less sugar than traditional jams. These aims remain the same today in our little jam factory in Bristol - as if Nicola had made them from home! Which is why we work closely with our local suppliers and take great pride in delivering to you the very best products we possibly can.

I've always thought gooseberries are one of the most underrated fruits in British baking. Tart, punchy and full of flavour, there's nothing quite like them, and paired with almond frangipane......
Summer salads deserve a great dressing, and actually we think the dressing is the most important part. The great news: if you've got a near-empty jar of Single Variety Co...
