I'm Sophie, I look after wholesale and stockists here at Single Variety Co, and I'm kicking off something new on the blog: Stockist Spotlight.
Every so often I'll be catching up with some of the brilliant independent shops, delis and cafes who stock our jams, so you can see where to find us and hear how they're using our preserves in the wild.
First up is Mouse & Grape in Pinner, one of my favourite kinds of shop: a cheesemonger, deli and wine bar all rolled into one (they call it The Wedge, which feels very apt).
Founder Jessica Summer has built something really special there, and we've loved being one of their stockists for over a year now. I caught up with the team to find out more about the shop and how they're pairing our Ben Tirran Blackcurrant Preserve and Lemon Drop Chilli Jam with their cheeses and wines.

About Mouse & Grape
Mouse & Grape was founded by Jessica Summer, whose passion for cheese and wine inspired her to create a business dedicated to celebrating the perfect pairing of both. After working across hospitality, PR and property, Jessica launched the @mouseandgrape Instagram account in 2020, sharing her love of cheese and wine and discovering a gap in the market for a destination focused on pairing the two.
Determined to turn her vision into reality, Jessica built her expertise as a cheesemonger and wine specialist, achieving qualifications including the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, WSET Wine Educator Training and Academy of Cheese Level 2, all with support from The Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme.
Mouse & Grape officially launched in December 2021 as a luxury online cheese and wine business specialising in paired hampers and tasting events. In November 2024, the first Mouse & Grape store opened in Pinner (or "The Wedge", as we like to call it), bringing together a cheesemonger, deli and wine bar under one roof. Just a year later, we expanded upstairs, doubling the space to host more events, private hire experiences, and welcome even more people to share our passion for exceptional cheese and wine.
What Single Variety Co products do you stock?
We stock the delicious Ben Tirran Blackcurrant Preserve and the Lemon Drop Chilli Jam. Both of these flavours are so popular amongst our customers! We've also stocked some of Single Variety's specials, such as the Passionfruit Preserve and the award-winning Amalfi Lemon Marmalade.
How long have you been stocking Single Variety Co?
Over a year!
What's your favourite jar, and what do you use it for?
We can't choose between the two, they're both incredibly versatile and hugely popular with our customers. As the home of cheese and wine pairings, Mouse & Grape loves using the Single Variety range on our customers' cheeseboards.
The Ben Tirran Blackcurrant Preserve features on our menu, paired with Beauvale blue cheese and a glass of Sauternes. It's a combination our customers absolutely love. We also use the Lemon Drop Chilli Jam to create a more bespoke pairing with Délice de Bourgogne.
Both products are regularly featured at the tasting events we host in-store and privately, as they complement so many of our cheeses and wines perfectly. As we're also a deli, both the Lemon Drop Chilli Jam and the Ben Tirran Blackcurrant Preserve are available for our customers to purchase and enjoy at home.
